MUSC College of Medicine

Starting Summer of 2025, the MUSC College of Medicine is a 200,000 SF classroom building downtown on the MUSC campus. This building consists of heavy deep foundations on driven precast piling, full height (125' tall) cast in place shearwalls, cast in place steel column pedestals and foundation walls supporting 35,000 SF of cast in place conventionally reinforced slab at Level 1, and over 150,000 SF of composite concrete slabs on metal deck. This project will require a high level of logistical coordination due to the small jobsite footprint to place the required 10,500 Cubic Yards of concrete.
